Does no conference tournaments mean no Big Dance even if they haven’t announced that yet

I realize it is extremely likely to come down soon that the entire tournament is canceled anyway, but even if they wanted to go on how would they award bids with no automatic qualifiers? Seems like this cancellation if conference tournaments all but ends any chance the tournament is played. I’m not saying these decisions are mistakes because public health is absolutely more important. I’m just not sure how they could move forward even if they wanted to.

The tournament will be canceled. No sense of even thinking about it being played. All pro sports have been canceled. NCAA is now backed into a corner to cancel March Madness. It sucks but they have to cancel it now. Also every single top analyst on the sport has called for the NCAA to cancel the tournament. It’s being canceled no way around it.

They would just use regular season champions as automatic qualifiers. No conference tournaments really aren’t a factor.

The tournament is getting cancelled. I’m just saying conference tournaments won’t play a part.

It’s a near certainty that the Big Dance will be cancelled in my opinion.

Isnt it more likely that they will postpone the Tournament for a month, at least initially, rather than cancelling it outright?

No way they cancel, there’s too much money involved. Suspension definitely happening tho

Heard Emmert on ESPN Radio and he sounded like a bowl of Jello. Waiting for the announcement.

I'm surprised there has not been an announcement yet on cancelling the tourney.

perhaps they are working on logistics of a possible postponement to late april

If the tournament would go on, I'd imagine that conferences will do what the Ivy League did and just give the AQ to the regular season champ.

It's still like 6 days away, but I doubt there will be a NCAA tourney until late April. How would that look. Am I happy??? No.... I look forward to this every year. As A sports fan it bothers me. But as A human I can understand. Is it too much panic??? We do not know yet. Is it the right move???????

I say yes.
