Based on what????? Hill is a beast and was a beast at LSU.. IMO he is faster.. Now LF will be a stud but may get worn out by getting crushed because of the bad QB play LSU will experience this year..........

shite, I do. He will split carries but IMO he will be the featured back by a large margin

Hill is not faster than LF. That's just stupid.

I do think Hill has better vision, and slightly better balance. But LF runs with more power and speed.

History says no. Its only been done in the SEC 3 times.

(Herschel '81, McFadden '07, Mason '13)

Herschel did it on 385 carries, McFadden on 325 and Mason on 317. That's an average of 342 carries.

The highest number of carries by a back in the Miles era is Ridley's 249 in 2010. Can't see Miles giving a back (no matter how good) 300+ carries in a season.

Couldn't have said it any better

I think he gets between 1200 to 1500, but he'll avg over 6ypc. He'll add about 400 yds in receptions with a few tds as well. Harris and Guice slaughtering people will be the biggest threat to his carries.

That's a ton of yards. If he averages 5 per carry he's going need about 27 carries per game. I don't see him getting the rock that much but it's not impossible

Fournette averaged roughly 7 ypc down the stretch last season and I'd expect him to continue that trend. I'm predicting 18 carries per game at 7 YPC which would compute to better than 1600 yards in a 13 game season. Now if you dream big and have an extra game or two, that average would get you to 1800 or beyond.
I don't predict LSU to play more than 13 games this season so I'll stick to 1600 yards as the prediction.

The problem is that we have several other nice options at RB and Miles consistently uses multiple backs to share the load.

not really when miles has a workhorse

Yep, I don't think you realize just how good hill was/is

I swear it's as if you didn't pay attention to hill. Hill runs as hard as any back we've had. He's has tremendous speed for a 230 pound back. Go look at his NFL highlights last year and watch him pull away from NFL secondary players.

We don't know what we have on offense just yet... and Fournette has the potential to play in 15 games this year.

15 games, 20 touches per game, 6 yards per carry = 1800.

15 games, chilge???

That's making it to the national championship game. You really think that's a legitimate possibility???

How about we all agree that when giving predictions for wins, yards, catches, TDs, etc. for the year, we keep it to the regular season, which we know is 12 games.

Anything beyond 12 games is uncertain, and any opponent is unknown, so stop factoring that in.

Easily might be overstating it, but I have very strong confidence he will hit the 6 YPC mark this year.

He got 5.5 YPC last year as a freshman with the 114th ranked passing game.

Elliott and Chubb were both near 7 YPC. Jeremy Hill was 6.3 his last year. It should be considered likely he gets 6 YPC IMO.

You are fricking out your mind to think that the two are comparable in flat out speed. LF would smoke JHIl.

Running hard =/= running with power. LF is a more powerful runner than Hill. I don't think that is even debatable.

I agree that Hill is pretty fast. LF is faster.

DeSean Smith has a better chance at catching 70 balls than LF getting 2000 yards.
