Does Lane come without the opinion from Saban and Pete?

Pete pumped up LSU big time when Lane asked for his opinion. Nick knows the culture and opportunities to win here.

I think Lane knew in his heart he wanted the challenge.

Hearing from those two helped the decision making process

he's a little bitch if he needed his hand held to make a career decision, especially one as easy as this

Pretty sure he knew his reputation would get nuked. Recently lost his dad and needed some mentor guidance. Your opinion sucks

Or, he’s like the rest of us when it comes to career and you get an offer to get a better job and you love your current one.

It’s not an easy decision even though we might think so through P&G glasses, and it shows Lane’s development as a person.

I know I talk to my dad about all things in my career, he just lost his. We all need guidance from people we trust in this life.

I'd be curious how things would have played out had Knox won his playoff game Friday night.

Last year at this exact time I was contemplating a job change. I knew what I needed to do, but asked some trusted people their opinion for affirmation. Any prudent person would do so, especially moving from a successful position to an unknown.

That had zero bearing IMO

Either way,

Whether he arrived to it on his own or these two told him to. It was a good look for LSU.

We don't know exactly how these conversations went. I have the feeling they both said something along the lines that the toolbox is bigger in BR than Oxford, but with it are new expectations.

Idk, but once I heard him say he was calling Saban I knew it was a good sign
