No, he is hard headed much like Les Miles. But Les did have an NC and an undefeated regular season

I wonder whether Nuss is injured. I think he played better last year. Just doesn’t make any sense.

Saban changed quarterbacks in the middle of a title game. Spurrier did it all the time. Not that I’d ever compare those coaches to what we have now. But sometimes it’s good to sit your alleged starter at the very least to wake him up. If this happens again, which it will, it would be criminal not to put Van Buren in for at least a series or two.

Nuss isn’t great, but the play calling is awful. Can’t run the ball.

When something works, we don’t go back to it.

It's not the QB! I don't understand why people just don't understand football. The defenses are dropping 8. He has made bad throws but he is throwing into a crowd. The problem is the oline inability to block and the RUNNING GAME! You have to be able to run them out of dropping 8. Just like when Les was here teams loaded the box to stop the run. We couldn't throw them out of it. Now we can't run them out of dropping 8. It's sad!

I wonder what is going through Van Buren’s head right now. He could be on the field for a lot of schools but instead he is stuck watching this garbage from the bench.

At this point, benching him and pretending he’s injured might be the only thing BK can do to help his draft chances.

He’s gone from possible #1 overall pick to a QB who doesn’t even look draftable

QB is definitely one of the problems. But the list is long.

“this is not a Garrett Nussmier problem” so in his mind, he has the right quarterback leading this team

Then he needs to get his head out of his arse and go look at the film of Garrett crow hopping passes and underthrowing receivers. That is NOT scheme.

A lot of teams have a shitty Oline.
They make up for it in scheme.

This is actually the main reason you make the change. For whatever reason, Nuss will not run.

Van Buren at least gives you that and that alone can make up for some of the O line deficiencies and keep the defenses a little on their toes.

Right now opponents don’t even need to account for Nuss

You saw that yesterday when Ole Miss only rushed 3 for much of the game.

A guy like Van Buren would have forced Ole Miss out of that strategy in a hurry.

People can say “oh it’s not the QB it’s the scheme” all they want but bullshite. Nussmier was missing throw after throw. Even simple under throws!

MVB could at least scramble a little as needed! It’s not 100% on Nuss but we win that game yesterday if he hits the simple throws and scrambles for first downs the way Chambliss did.

Ole Miss did everything they could to give that game away but we failed to take it.

Nuss has already got that covered, besides, these kids are pros, already getting paid, wherever they want to work after they leave LSU is not our problem, this is what they are getting paid for, their job, if you will, and Nuss sucks at his job
