Or is Dunn a good-for-nothing assistant coach also in your opinion?

Not in the least. He's proven himself with his coaching responsibilities. He's recruited his arse off, but also coached his arse off. Our pitching staff is night-and-day different from prior to his arrival.

I also disagree regarding your mischaracterization of my opinion regarding Sanchez.

Your skillfull work in this thread has led me to understand and find a deeper appreciation for just how rare it is to find an assistant coach who can give last minute instructions and outfield meetings with the ability to absolutely spellbind and lock in the focus of his charges like a Javier Sanchez.

Again, shouldn't we give the guy a raise based on all of the quality high-points you've touched on and I've conceded here for you this morning?

But...but....but he hasn't been 'lured' away from LSU so he must suck as an assistant coach!

I never said assistants that don't get lured away must suck, but I am worried that he may be eventually. The thought'd crossed my mind that Dunn is an excellent coach and can handle a pitching staff, and has been around the game at the professional level enough that he may have an itch to run things himself.

But what really worries me is Javy. You've totaly convinced me here. I'm a convert. I mean, to put it in reverse and revisit Dunn, I may not be all that sold on his ability to be a head coach some day.

Before I make my mind up, tell me...How does he run an outfield pre-game meeting?

Then what was your point when you asked about Sanchez not being lured away?

And you never answered my question: Do you know for a fact that Sanchez has not been contacted about HC openings? I don't suppose the fact that LSU assistant baseball coaches have a higher total compensation than most baseball head coaches at smaller programs is even relevant.....

Regarding the rest of your post, you're embarrassing yourself again.

I think your penchant for answering questions with questions is equaled only by your insatiable desire to get the last word
