Grimes problems didn't just start this year. It's been going on for multiple sessions. It's going to take more than one game to reverse all of that.

Players looked motivated to play for once this season is what I give credit to. Maybe the mystique of the game and hard feelings from last year is what deserves the credit.

We have a slow decision maker at QB and a line that can't protect. I give no credit.

Our backs average less than 3 ypc

What am I missing here? We are in a pickle when the season starts. We don't have enough OL, and we are way short of tackles. The guy who is a part of all the busts and the attrition is still the OL coach.

Should we applaud the way he handled the disaster he helped create? Maybe do, but it would seem to me like it would be applauding the captain of the Titanic for how well he lowered the lifeboats.

How about 200 plus yards rushing with 3 true freshman playing. Cannot stand people who cannot recognize effort and success under duress. Issues abound but proud of the players effort and happy they are smiling today.

If you didn't watch the game, then take a closer look at the box score. They both tell the same story. The guys that depend on the OL for blocking all averaged 2.9 yards per carry. The guys that succeeded running the ball did so by NOT depending on the OL for blocking - aka running away from the OL.

That's not a sign of a good OL. That's what it looks like when coaches know they can't depend on the OL to effectively block.

Nope. One game of average line play doesn't get you props
That's the problem with all the clueless bi-polar schizo's on here.

One game by the OL that doesn't suck (Against a bad team) and all of a sudden things are OK and well again with Grimes, huh?

Doesn't work like that. It is what it is with JG. He is primarily responsible for the OL recruiting and LSU is not even close to being in the hunt for the SEC West.
