Anyway Dugas can find a spot in the infield? Is there a way to play Doughty, Arnold, and Dugas at 2nd, short, and 3rd somehow?

Not necessarily in that order but how can we make this happen

1. 1B Morgan
2. RF Crews
3. DH Beloso
4. 2B Dugas
5. 3B Doughty
6. LF Drost
7. SS Arnold
8. C Millazo/Wyeth/Travinski (I want Travinski to get at bats very badly)
9. CF Gio

That is a team that can compete for a conference title.

Serious question, why do you think he didn’t start tonight?

If he can get healthy, probably. It won’t be easy to keep his spot with this team though.

So what makes you think he won’t make it back into starting lineup once he is healthy?

He’s not as good as the other dudes

I'd imagine the emergence of PM saying he wants to get Drost in the lineup somehow (and him yet to get out at the plate) combined with the fact that Dugas is hot and Crews is Crews.

We are at the point where Drost almost must be given every opportunity to show that him starting this hot isn't just a fluke.

And if Drost continues to hit for two weeks, then what do you do when Gio comes back?

See my post early in the thread.

If we could make that lineup work defensively... oooh boy

Not saying he won’t make it back into the starting lineup. Drost, Dugas and Crews have been very salty at the plate as of late though.

Yes and if he can get more consistent offensively, he could go to leadoff and this lineup would get loooong!!!

I like the optimism but we really won't know if these guys can hit until SEC play

Am I wrong in seeing that Sanford is batting .429 thus far? If so my bad.

How many ABs has he had? You think he’s going to start over Gio because of two games?

Likely yes. Hes our best defensive outfielder and was hitting just under .400 last year before covid hit. Having too many options isnt a bad thing. Dugas will likely hit a slump at some point and get someone else time in LF.
