Does anyone know if Woodward has the whole buyout in hand or not?

From the way Landry is talking it sounds like Woodward has gotten a booster to agree to pay the buyout, and that is great, but what happens in the unlikely event the booster backs out or dies or for some other reason does not pay the whole amount Does anyone know if the booster has written a check for the whole amount and Woodward has the cash in hand, or if Woodward acted on promises?

Well Landry is planning on going to court to not give Kelly the full buyout so it seems like a moot point

We don’t even know what the final buyout is. It’s definitely not the full 54M

No one knows.
From the little bit that's been talked about in the media, there was about $10M in hand to cover year one of the buyout prior to them firing Kelly. That was Monday.
Since then, it's hard to discern what's fact vs. fiction.

I haven't heard this wrinkle to this whole situation yet. Is he really planning on going to court to prevent the buyout?
I'm sure all the elite coaches out there are going to be knocking down our door to come to LSU once they hear that if things go south, they'll get fired and the governor will sue to prevent the contractual obligations from being carried out!

I was wondering the same thing. We’ve obviously entered the political game now, so there’s a lot of lies and misleading information being thrown around.
I wouldn’t doubt that Dellinger’s article today comes straight from Scott Woodward in his fight against the Governor.
