Not my video, just stumbled across it on Twitter today. I didn't even catch it at the game,but I also had headphones in to hear our radio crew

It would never happen, but the next time the students start their gutter-trash chant in the middle of a song, I would love to see the band stop playing and calmly gather their stuff and leave. The level of disrespect the students as a whole show the band by doing that chant is embarrassing.

It is such a stupid chant. I just don’t get any of support by anyone. The problem is nothing ever really came close to rivaling it. It is literally the only thing holding back the fun band interaction during the game. I remember when they started and I remember as a student how stupid they were.

Why do the students get off on saying the word Dick during the bands performances? It was a cool chant when they played Neck, but now every slapdick tries to be funny and starts the neck chant for everything

They are trying to overshadow the band
It’s juvenile and retarded at this point. 75% of the students go to the games programmed to think they will chant over the band because it’s “hilarious” and it’ll be on Snapchat

I just don't get the end game with this idiotic and uncreative chant.
I thought it was stupid when I was a student during the time it started and it's even more pathetic the older I get.
It's trashy, pointless and all it does is stop the band from playing and we end up with more piped in music.
If the students would put as much energy into actually staying beyond halftime as they do trying to start this pointless chant, maybe Tiger Stadium could get back to the way it used to be.

As an outsider who enjoys all things LSU football, why can't the students come up with an R rated chant to Neck vs the STTDB which, obviously, the Powers that Be can't allow to continue.
It could be a provocative, edgy cheer to Neck that isn't X rated. That way, you could have the best of both worlds. Lot's of creative people out there for this stalemate to continue.

Im not offended by the STTDB chant, and I love the a-hole chant during Tiger Rag. But i won't shy away from the fact that STTDB is trashy as frick.
