How many other ID's do you use besides these two?
Thanks for showing yourself as an idiot.

And losing to TU helped Mac pack. Lost to them in what was already his last year. I think it's safe to say that Miles is in trouble if he loses to ULL. Or Troy (oh sorry, we almost did)
almost don't count...ask Saban if he'd rather have "almost" lost to UAB or ULM.

Miles gets to play in comparison to the old days all of them were wins against cupcakes.
So did Saban...

I think those 10 guaranteed wins would help Les' percentage. At least as far as I understand percentages.
Nothings guaranteed. Ask USC (Stanford), UM (Appy State), bama (ULM), LSU (UAB).
Plenty of LSU coaches have had plenty of cupcakes...unfortunately not all of them have won. Miles has beaten them (along with some great teams) and that's why he has the win % he does. You play the games on the schedule and try to win 'em all. Can't fault him for that.
first you guys try to diminish the '07 NC...now you've been reduced to diminishing the games he's actually won. It's getting pretty pathetic.

Choctaw, what point are you trying to make.
That Miles is a better coach at LSU, than Saban was at LSU?

No...that Miles isn't the cause of floods, earthquakes, world hunger, war, and Obama....and that he's a damn good coach.

7-5 and he's toast.....really.
They have spent way too much money to let it slide and they have no intentions to let it. Not a jab, but Les' arse is firmly on the hot seat and I so hope he succeeds b/c I really like him.
HOWEVER, I have heard from one reputable source that he may be given a pass, but the support cast will feel the heat.

Yep, you caught me. Back in the fall of 2003, before anybody here ever heard of Les Miles, I started both of these user names and posted over 12k times on this one and nearly 6k times on the other one, just so that, seven years later, I could seem like two people criticizing Les Miles instead of one, since there are so few real people willing to criticize him.
Damn, you're good.

5 losses and he's toast for sure. 4 losses and he's 90+% toast. 3 losses he probably lives to fight another day and coach here in 2011.
Martin and Alleva don't like him. Truth. Lombardi supports him. Truth. There's your differing factions, and I don't know exactly where the rest of the BOS lines up. TAF wanted him gone last year, but realisticaly couldn't push such an agenda with the buyout. Truth. His buyout after this year is about 7.5mm, and we have at least 2 years to pay it out, maybe more. Truth.
According to Alleva, anything less than no more than 2 losses and winning the West and there will be some serious consequences, but again, I think 3 losses gets him one more year with that made very clear in no uncertain terms and winning the West AND the SECCG in 2011 are the conditions. 4 and he's 90% gone, 5 and you can book it they'll be kicking his a$$ down the road.
One thing some of you guys forget is, even with 3 losses, if they come early enough and we start having 75k in the stands, and 50k or less by half time and that's shown again and noted all over TV during televised games, that's all it's going to take. Money talks.

i disagree...but from you, i'll take it. Now if i can just get Nuts4LSU to admit that Miles doesn't eat babies while stabbing homeless people.

A damn good coach would not have gone 8-5 with THAT talent two years ago, and have the worst 9-3 team in history last year.
Like I said I will stick with decent.

i don't really want to get into this again but...LSU did have alot of talent, except where it counts the most...QB and o-line.
but i really can't argue with you saying he's a decent coach....maybe "damn good" was too strong. I'll say good or decent...but i think he gets back up to "damn good" this year.

quote:Absolutely not true. Padding your stats against rent-a-wins will not keep your job. With his record against ranked teams the last 2 years, If his record against quality opponents doesn't improve by the end of this year I can guarantee that a change will be made. He can only live off the app state, ull, la tech, vandy, miss st, tulane, north texas, and troys for so long.
LSU will not fire a coach that has never had a losing record at LSU. Just won't happen. Far more likely that Miles takes a job elsewhere.

I would be thrilled if this is the truth. Miles knows he is on the hot seat even if he won't admit if publicly.
