If we lose to AU, but win out and Bama beats AU, then we win the SEC cuz we can beat anyone from the SEC east.

Auburn would win the west.

I don't think its fair but even if we somehow made it to the SECCG with 1 loss then blew out our opponent the writers have such a negative view of the Tigers that they would make it impossible to get to the NC game even though the computers love us. I believe it has to be all or nothing this year.

Could we make it to the SECCG if we beat both Auburn and Alabama then lost to someone like ole miss or Ark?

that would be the only way to make it to the SECCG with 1 loss, but you can kiss the NCG goodbye if we lose once.

It's very possible, but we wouldn't be in the preferential treatment pack.

A lot of things would have to go in our favor for that to happen. But it can happen

I hadn't thought about this, but it is true.

1) We wouldn't go over any undefeated BCS team. But I am not convinced Oregon, OU, or MSU go undefeated.

2) We would probably go over most/any 1-loss BCS teams provided (a) we don't get blown out and (b) we still make and win the SECCG.

3) Not sure how 1-loss LSU would stack up against undefeated Boise/TCU. We should have the edge in the computers, but not sure how much cushion they get in the polls.

Oregon AND Oklahoma would both have to lose, possibly twice.

I think in that scenario we should but I just don't see how we can win the voters over because of all the negative press we have gotten already this year. However, like another poster said anything is possible stranger things have happened

No, our loss would be too late in season...and the SECCG won't help us as much this year with the SEC East being down

Stranger things have happened. Reference loss to Ark. last game of season in 2007. Who was the 2007 BCS Champion that year? You are right-SEC East champion this year not at the level Tenn. was in '07.
