Also a good point, BUT I'm going to continue typing em up and sending em not only to Alleva but also to the board members. I'm not saying any of this will help. It sure as hell didn't last year (as you said), but I have to do it.

Nope.

I just don’t think O will be able to ignore the stats, which include two 0s by Steve E. against Bama.

He thinks it's the players fault for not executing.

Nope. O told you all you needed to know this past week when he said he thinks SE is doing a great job. Only way we change Offensive coordinator is if SE steps down.

FWIW, Ryan Clark said on AFR today that it's 100% scheme that's the problem. It's wild hearing him say that while other former players say it's not scheme.

Yes, I believe he does indeed think that. He certainly told us so yesterday with that "excellent job" fallacy. But we are going to hammer away at that board and Alleva. You know the boosters ain't gonna stop bitching.

No chance. After he ran off Canada, O's ship is anchored to Ensminger for better or worse. The rationale will be taking a young offense and 1st year starting QB into their 2nd year under Coach E's offense.

I'm happy to hear that Mr. Clark said this on air. I am 100% in agreement. I'd say 90% of we fans/alums agree.

If your employer was legally bound to pay a salary of $800k per year would you quit because "they deserve better"?

If they offered you a staff position worth $250k -- $350k per season... yeah, probably?

E didn't want to do the job in the first place, per a number of sources.

We're suggesting Ensminger will step aside. I agree there is no way O demotes him. Granted, I could see Alleva stepping in and doing it. And I know that is usually a very bad thing, but at this point, I just want a big time O.C. any means possible.

I also could imagine Aranda putting some pressure on the issue in some discreet, professional way.

LSU has most of the pieces to run the Patriots passing game. Quick, fast, short passes. E could have run it, but didn't.

Coach E has forced slow developing passes without the horses at WR & OL to succeed with it.

It will depend on how much pressure the big-boy boosters put on O and his bosses. IMO, E is out.

There's a problem with getting a big time OC to come in here.

That's the type of guy that has HC aspirations. You think O is going to bring someone in there that

A. Great at his job
B. Wants a HC position?

If he does too good of a job where does that leave O when it's time to make a decision on his next contract?

I just don't see O bringing in someone that could very well take his job from him.

Just hoping someone doesn't throw the bank at Aranda

'Dey gonna run 'dat Vertica passin' game, baw. Trow it long 'un let 'dem 'dere receivers grab it, baw.

No... seriously. The EP system NE runs is not suitable for the college game. It's just too complex, IMO.

It's numbers, verbiage and terminology, but it's very different numbers / terms / phrases than any other offensive system.

That's my biggest gripe, Buckeye Jeaux: "slow developing passes" AT THE WORSE POSSIBLE TIMES and no adjustments. I think he's out too.

Also it's based on a ton of WR option routes.

Our guys have a tough enough time just catching the damn passes. Now you're asking them to read the defense and run the right route every down? It'd never work here.

Do we trust Orgeron to hire a good OC?

What was going through his mind to push E into the OC position when he had an almost bottomless pool of candidates to choose from, who knows.

The only way I can rationalize this is to think that the person O really wanted to hire long term (think HF) wasn't "available."
