Oh look, another brief in the quest to convince everyone we have a bad coach

The only thing that convinced me we have a bad coach is some of the actions of o himself.

So if the team plays sloppy and unfocused isn't that somewhat on the HC?

Interim HC

The team played sloppy and unfocused damn near the entire month of September last season. Was o the interim coach then?

nothing could be sweeter than LSU basketball winning a ton of games AND propelling O out of LSU.

Saban lost to UAB his first year at LSU
Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe his firs year at Alabama

So what's your point?

Dabo Sweeney was going to the playoff with classes that were not consistently ranked in the Top 10.

“ terrible assumption”

It was a question and one you didn’t answer.

The rest of your post was just you being silly, but whatever floats your boat.

What’s a chance? At some point he has to do something to win over the haters.

It's a fair question. I don't know what "give him a chance" even means anymore due to the overuse of the term.

You're right, at some point we should see clear, undeniable evidence that this team has taken a major step towards competing with the Bamas and the Georgias.

If he can't compete for the SEC title this year, and that means probably entering the Bama game with one or no losses, then he's not the guy. There's multiple examples of teams taking huge steps in year two of a coach's tenure.

None of the coaches in place in the SEC are going anywhere any time soon, so what is gained by "giving him a chance" for another couple of years? This year will be as good as any to for him to demonstrate how he stacks up. But people are already getting excuses months from kickoff.

O will sink his own ship. He doesn’t need any help and is already off to a wonderful start.

What outcome next year would you find it appropriate to fire a second year head coach?

Why are you asking me a question? You don't understand what is going on at all.

O inherited a team that was ranked #4 the year before and came into his 1st season with an All American RB, All American DE, senior laden team.

No, he inherited a 2-2 team out of the top 25 which had benched its quarterback and was floundering.
Nice revisionist hope story.

6-6 for sure.

7-5 he should be on the hottest of seats.

in the public eye....it may put pressure on the one with the lower record.
be O or WW... yes I know that WW is the savior, but that's yet to be actually proven....

having said that, in the eyes of LSU, each sport will be judged differently and separately, more pressure on football because of the revenues.
