Top 10 Worst Calls

First of all, that is an article written on a website that allows anyone to write an article. Second, check out the author's' bio, he's an LSU grad, not exactly unbiased. Third, there has never been an article or news report from any reputable news source that has ever made this claim. It's rumor, innuendo...everybody says the same thing...I heard it from someone, a friend had a link. Find a link to something like ESPN or Sports Illustrated or hell, whatever paper they have in Baton Rouge, then you can make the accusation. Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it is the truth.

Catfish, please quit confusing the rantards. They are not a very smart bunch and when you use logic and facts they get irritable and start 12 page threads. A common ranter truism is if you say something enough it becomes true.

Sorry, I should know better. That whole "the replay guy is an Auburn grad" just kills me because it's so not true. Oy vey, it is almost as frustrating as arguing with gumps about "12" national championships.

The replay official overturned the interference and gave the ball back to Auburn. It was later discovered that the replay official was not only an Auburn alumnus, but was also a big booster to the program. I guess that’s how he got the job.

That, as I guess you are either unable to understand, or are simply ignorant of the truth, has been proven as INCORRECT.

What I find very strange is that the 1 1/2 yard incorrect placement call, which gave you a first down on your last touch down drive, is never mentioned now. Strange considering the posts on the rant were saying "now we're even". Instead, all the world hears is "THE REFS. THE REFS. AUBURN BUYS THE REFS (even in Tiger stadium apparently). This is the biggest group of ignorant and purple glass blinded babies I've ever seen. Has LSU ever lost a game without it being caused by bad calls? Not if you beleive anything that's posted on the rant after an LSU loss.

Oh, you are so right. We Auburn fans should just bow down to the obviously superior intellect of the LSU fanbase.

Look auburn idiots. It's a fact. We expect to see it Saturday as well. YES the refs cheat at Auburn.

No amount of crying about how you're being maligned will change that. If you don't like being known as a top cheating team, then don't cheat.

Crazy idea I know.

I have stated many times over that I believe au as a whole lacks integrity. They have been placed on major probation more times than any DI program, academic issues regarding giving players grades, questionable calls at home-and not just vs. LSU, the whole Petrino-Lowder fiasco. Hell, au has a flag flying from JH proclaiming an undefeated season in 1994. au was on probation in 94. Not very classy.

No. I wish I were but I'm making the trip to Baton Rouge for the game against Ugaly.
I've actually been to Jordan-Hare for a few games and I've always enjoyed the trip, not always the outcome, but the trip. I do like the grounds of your stadium and it's my favorite behind the most Sacred, Holy ground of Tiger Stadium.

The main difference between AU and Bama - at least Bama wins championships by cheating. AU can't even get THAT right.

Ross, I'm sure I if met you and a few of your cohorts, we would hate each other just before and during the game but as soon as it's over we would say to each other "Ya hungry? Wanna go eat? Wanna get a drink? You've got to meet these other friends of mine. Etc., etc."

That joke has really taken off as fact here. Next thing some will be e-mailing SEC offcials about it.

I've never thought that an SEC ref intentionally made a bad call to favor a particular team. They obviously make mistakes.

Just asking, but how would Auburn arrange to have a ref team in place that was favorable to them on any particular weekend? Don't the teams (of refs) rotate around the league to some degree?

Perhaps naively, I've always assumed that over time, the good and bad calls tend to average out for everyone.

It was the replay official that kept overturning the calls on the field. He was hired and put in place by Auburn. He was an Auburn alum and booster. No conflict of interest there. The home team supplies the replay official for the booth. Not only did he overturn calls for Auburn, he changed a penalty based on replay which is against the rules.
