re: Do you think the refs really cheat at Auburn?

I've never thought that an SEC ref intentionally made a bad call to favor a particular team. They obviously make mistakes.
Just asking, but how would Auburn arrange to have a ref team in place that was favorable to them on any particular weekend? Don't the teams (of refs) rotate around the league to some degree?
Perhaps naively, I've always assumed that over time, the good and bad calls tend to average out for everyone.

Just look at last year's SEC stats (secsports.com). Opponents of Auburn and Alabama are the most penalized and far above the league average. Interesting how LSU's opponents were penalized the least. Of course they are corrupt. Watch this week, at a critical juncture some sideline warning penalty (there is no more warning it an automatic penalty).Don't matter tho, we are the first and only 2 time BCS Champs.

How can anyone with any connection to either team in a given game be allowed to have any role in the officiating of said game or any game that could affect the outcome of any other participating teams. It is just plain wrong. The conflict of interest in such circumstances give credence to claims of double dealing which threatens to undermine confidence in the fairness of as well as the integrity of the game(CFB) itself.
That means to you Barners who are still coloring in your books that no alumnus or booster of Aubieland can have a role in officiating an Aubie game. No?

But.......
The replay official overturned the interference and gave the ball back to Auburn. It was later discovered that the replay official was not only an Auburn alumnus, but was also a big booster to the program.
Yes, they were

These refs this weekend will be scrutinized closely by the SEC bigwigs

Link to a reliable source, and not some blog that used that line as a freaking joke?
They weren't.

Dude, take off your Auburn glasses and rewatch the games. Auburn won the last two years LSU played there on bull shite calls that were made my the refs which were wrong.
At least when Auburn loses at LSU it's b/c LSU just beat them or it's b/c your own kicker missed five hundred kicks.

No, I do not think the refs cheat at Auburn.....however, with the 2004 "kick the extra point twice" issue on a call that has never been duplicated since, and the 2006 "flag waive off" when defensive holding should have at least been called.....you've got to wonder about the quality of SEC refs........I believe everyone has been "wondering" about that issue for a while now.

Well they called for the home team both of those years and both were awful calls that ultimately cost LSU the game.
LSU vs Chop Block U + Refs this coming Saturday.

I didn't even bring up the calls. I brought up the fact that you are telling a bold-face lie to people. The refs are not Auburn alumni.

Yet another reason why the term "ranter" was coined.
Give it a rest. The refs didnt call our offense, didnt play on our offense. LSU beat themselves.

If the refs call a fair game and let the players decide the outcome then LSU should win this game. If it's the same old Auburn refs then flip a coin.
