How could you say the last TD was on the staff and not him? Yeah they shouldn’t have been in man but that doesn’t change the fact that he got smoked. He’s a true freshman and Bama has NFL WRs so he definitely gets a pass.

When your coach puts you in tight man with no deep coverage the last thing you’re thinking as a DB is a go route. That formation would lead you to believe Aranda was thinking posts or screen

Sark had a great offensive game plan to go right at Sting and try to rattle him. They literally picked on him, and he still had many good moments.

Alabama had a great plan to target our strengths. But our strengths mostly won. See Fulton as example #1.

Surtain actually didn't play that bad. I think you mean Diggs

Stingley will be absolutely fine.

Everyone needs to realize that Devonta Smith is a really good WR

Diggs was lost all game. He had a bad game, caused by our scheme and execution

So you saying stingley does not have the ability to play press man on elite recs? Because even if you disagree with scheme there, he still got roasted.

Wrong. Aranda has them in press for some unknown reason.

This was a good thing.

No. He's a stud that was mirroring a stud all night. Smith has 3 years on Stingley. I think Stingley had a hell of a night.

I'm trying to remember where it was in the game.. There was a back shoulder catch made by Smith down the sideline where he pulled a double move and Stingley played it perfectly.. Smith just made a better play.

Have a down vote.

You play corner, you will get beat.

1) that was a BS trick play they scored on the first time
2) He should not have been in press man on the last play
3) I saw Smith climb the ladder and make one really legit catch on Stingley
4) if Stingley is second guessing himself then Diggs for Bama should be hiding in a closet. He got passed around like a $2 whore. Everybody abused him.

There was a touchdown and a couple catches that he had absolute perfect coverage on, that Tua and Smith just made perfect throws/catches on.

Those dudes are studs. Ain’t nothing to hang you head down on as a true freshman

sure hope Stingley's confidence didn't take a hit

If it did then he isn’t the guy we thought he was.

He is playing CB. If you can’t handle getting beat then you can’t play the position because it is going to happen. Majority of the time when you do your job as a CB no one will see it because the ball wont go to the guy you are covering because you took him out of the play.

JR WRs, all of which will play in the NFL and at least 2 are 1st rounders, got a few plays on a true freshman CB.

If Bama truly beat Stingley all game, as many think, then LSU would have lost by 14.

Stingley loss a few key battles, but won the war.

Ole Miss' horrific passing offense will be a perfect opportunity for him to get his confidence back.

I hope they test him. Plumlee is not accurate and his deeper throws are ripe for the picking.

second big play he still got burnt.
also got beat 2-3 other times for 10-15 yards or so

who got beat on the 3rd and 19? don't think it was him but cant remember. pass rush was terrible on that play so it was probably their fault

And Surtain is a sophomore who played a lot last year.

Did Surtain get burnt at all in man coverage? We exploited some zone near his area, but he was pretty lights out in man.

Diggs got a train run on him by Chase and Clyde though.

And he was burnt badly in press. Both things can be true.
