this thread is horrible...have you ever been to austin, tx? geezus christ you can literally park your car walk 800 yards to the game & not see ONE SINGLE TAILGATER (b/c of university policy)
LSU hands down has the best tailgating in america

I know it is a big event. This is not my first rodeo. Like I said I have been going for 40 years. They had large crowds then and did a lot better. The issue is they can do a lot better now but have no interest in doing so. It does not make sense to have people parking a half a mile from their tailgates when there is parking that does not get used at all close to where they want to get. And that always happens. Like the guy said above they never open the huge lot by Walk Ons until 3pm. Not to mention lots partially full that are blocked off for the sole reason of blocking them off at a certain time no mater how full they are. And this is usually 6 and 7 hours before gametime.

NO doubt the big games will be packed. Give the count for Troy and Ole Miss. That is where they can get more attendance. Keep in muind we amy not always be a top ten program. Remember the Jerry Dinardo days?

Great reply. I am sure you would accept a burnt steak at Ruth Chris because you are not a bitcher. I will you could have seen the 70 yearold man walking next to hauling stuff as we walked accross lots that were closed but had plenty of parking available.

We came out the night before, staked out a place, and had some guys next to us watch it. The LSU Police said it was ok..the freakin' constables were the assholes! Some no good son of bitch nick named shite came and took down our tent! We re-grouped and did OK but that is sorry!

Off Topic: Anyone else encounter a cop in front of the bell tower near the blockade? Wouldn't even allow us to unpack our car, and then threatened to arrest us. Great representative of the BR police force...
Prob the same cop that threatened to arrest me for being double parked for 10 minutes for an elderly gentleman at the UGA game.

Lets see I pay $100.00, enter the Vet Med Lot Friday mornings at 7:00 am in my RV and stay til Sunday at noon.
Not sure LSU could be more accomodating to me. This is now big boy football and you have to pay to play. Just the way it is.

I had a sign that said "Hey Barack I'm Baroke". I almost got arrested for that. I was told i had two choices. Get rid of the sign or leave.

WRITE A LETTER TO THE AD!! If you think parking is a problem, write a letter to Joe Alleva, tell him to build the multi-level parking garage planned in the '80s on the old baseball field instead of the 90 high-end over priced RV spots that they are now planning. His email address is: athletics@lsu.edu

I am gonna call BS on this one.... Tailgating now is light years more popular and participlated in than at any time since my first LSU game in the early 70s..

need more pissers round campus
IMHO, I have to disagree. Seems to me I see a lot of people pissing all over campus. I think some of them are drinking beer.
As I recall, at Texas A&M, they really get pissed when you piss where you're not supposed to piss. Some sort of Memorial grass.
