My mom won tickets at her work to the LSU/Tennessee game in 1989(?).
Memorable moments:
- seeing Tommy Hodson in person
- Victor Jones whipped some Vol's arse in a scrap on a punt
- LSU ran a "QB in motion" play, where Hodson pretended to walk down the line to give instruction to the wideouts, and the center snapped it to the tailback.

My first, as well. First year grad student from who had attended a small college as an undergrad. I called my brother after and told him it was the loudest place I had ever been.

Kinda... it was either late 70s or early 80s... I *think* it was Tulane.
I was with my dad, only thing I recall was the dude in front of me had his name, paul, on the back of his tshirt and was standing up and shooting double birds quite often...
dont remember the outcome...

I grew up in New Orleans & went to LSU after serving in the Air Force. I graduated in the spring of 1970.
My first memory of being in Tiger Stadium is my first game in the early to mid 1950's. The opening kickoff was taken by LSU's Joe May. He took the ball stright up the middle of the field for about 100 yards. He wasn't touched by anyone. I was also there for Billy Cannons 98 yd touch down aginst' Ole Miss. He caught the punt right in front of me on the Ole Miss side of the field - the other side of the field. If I remeber right, LSU was ranked number one & Ole Miss was number two. Ole Miss took the following kickoff & marched down the field to a first down inside of the LSU 10 yard line - about the seven yard line - right in front of me. Ole Miss then ran the ball four time & got to about the four yard line. After the fourth down play none of the players got up off the ground. The game was won!
The following week the Tigers played Tennesse at their house. Tenn. was highly ranked. It was a hard fought game & Tenn. was up by 7 pts near the end of the game. Right at the end of the game LSU scored a touchdown. We needed a two point conversion to win & stay number one. There was no overtime back then, so we ran Billy Cannon up the up the middle. The refs said we didn't make it into the enzone. So, we lost - although Cannon had white chalk across his upper legs. Film latter showed he did get into the end zone.

LSU vs Florida State in 1982. Hilliard and James freshman year and the students threw oranges on the field at the end of the game because we wrapped an Orange Bowl berth with the win. Great game!

Every home game in 1966 - the year my dad received his PhD. I was 5 years old. I dont remember any specific detail, i just remember the atmosphere. I do remember that my little sister was in an LSU cheerleader outfit. I have been a Tiger fan since birth. I had 2 uncles that played running back for LSU. One went on to play for the Eagles and is in the Pro Football HOF.
Is your uncle Steve Van Buren?
