wow. now I have heard it all
Jefferson is the safer option? LOL are you serious????
you're basing your opinion on the Alabama game where all Jefferson did was run around and do absolutely nothing to improve the offense. Its pretty damn easy to not turn the ball over when you're half@$$ attempting to move the ball. Jefferson has a long history of being a turnover machine, yet just because he didn't turn the ball over when the offense was on "safe mode" means that all is well now and that he is the safer option?

But I will defend JJ because he has been just as efficient as Lee this year.

at least 80% of Jefferson's numbers in 2011 have come during garbage time and against Western Kentucky High School with the exception of the Alabama game where he did next to nothing to begin with.

ETA: ill do it for you. LSU qb's after game 4: 13TD's 3ints 1,023total yards 67/113 passing 42/174 yds rushing Where is the drop of in qb play?
passing yards are down, passing TD's are down...RB's rushing stats are down, WR's rec and TD's are down...
fact is JJ is a stat killer...RB's and WR's prolly get drafted 2 rounds higher with Lee...Terrance Toliver could have gone in the 3rd round had Lee been playing last year...

you put Lee's and JJ's together to try and make JJ's look better....thats just sad man...

a 5th yr sr isn't supposed to just throw the ball in order to not get hit.
If you say so, but shouldn't another 5th year senior know better than to take a safety when he could've thrown the ball away?

JJ isn't a 5th year senior.

no he's only had 4 years and a ton of playing time to learn how to not get owned in the end zone by high school teams like Western Kentucky High.

He's the same class as Lee is.

Spin it anyway you want to. Is he or isn't he a 5th year senior?
We're debating, right?

lol you get so mad. I want to see you defend Lee the way that you rush to defend Jefferson.

Once again, where did I say I was mad? I simply asked a question.
Is JJ a 5th year senior?

I don't care what you want. Like I said earlier, I pull for both QB's. We need both.

Andrew Luck isn't a JR either. I do see what you were saying though.
JJ has his pros/cons, just like any QB does. Luck included.

OK, what if the system we've used all season doesn't continue to work? It damn sure didn't against bama. Why, do you ask? Because of their defensive front. Matchups are extremely important at this point in the season and IMO, we can't afford to have a guy locking onto receivers and throwing blindly into coverage because he's too afraid of getting hit. Those picks Lee threw against bama were sub-DIVISION III level, and back to back no less. We could get the qb from BRCC to go out and do the same damn thing without being pissed about it. But the number one team in the country losing that way on this big of a stage is embarrassing. I'm not saying he isn't capable, but Lee does have a phobia for contact, which is a problem on this level and people need to understand that. Jefferson will never be a "really solid" qb, but he's tough, athletic, extends plays, and he's not going to give the game away. Coaches get paid well to determine when the right time for each qb is and this year they're having to earn it.

Try again. He was up for the Heisman his sophomore year? Now I'm not saying that's unheard of. Tebow won it and he was sophomore.
