Alabama in 2012. I was upset with the outcome, but I remember walking out of the stadium thinking, "this is why I love football." Team threw everything they had that year at them. And we weren't afraid to to take our shots at them.

Those happen. And you can accept that.

What is unacceptable is our showing in Fayetteville Saturday.

What is unacceptable is our showing in NOLA on 1-9-12.

Looking lethargic and woefully unprepared and not adapting our gameplan should not be tolerated.

All of this.

No, I especially enjoy watching our team improve week to week. This year was great watching our defense mature and become one of the dominant defenses in the country. Our offense, particularly our passing game seemed to get worse week after week. Very un-enjoyable.

A win is at the top of my list but there are other enjoyable times.

#Seeing all the beautiful LSU women is always nice...
#The sights, smells, tastes, etc. of tailgating is unreal...
#Hearing compliments from visiting fans regarding the atmosphere...
#Watching scumbag SEC refs get leveled in a game is fun to watch...
#Watching how Gumps act in person is always a classic. When you think they can't get any worse...

"Wins are not enjoyed either. Is this your first time here."

There are many people here that have not enjoyed wins since 2005. They have been on CLM's arse since he got here. Many times since the morning after he won the NC did I hear how it was the worst thing that could happen!
I don't take them seriously anymore.

I never "enjoy" a loss. Who the hell would enjoy watching your team lose? That's silly.

I can enjoy the entertainment around the game, even during a loss, but I can't sag I enjoy watching us lose.

And I don't know how anybody could "enjoy" what they witnessed Saturday night. That was one of the worst football spectacles I've witnessed in quite some time. Totally not enjoyable.

It's unrealistic to expect to win every game. It would be nice, but... However, considering the level of talent and athletes that we recruit each year, it is not unrealistic to expect LSU to compete and play head-to-head with any other program in the nation. The only difference - the coaches. Other programs have coaches that coach outside the box and are willing to open up the offense and do more than hand off the ball up the middle.

Our defense for the most part can pretty much play with anybody in the country. True they started off slowly this season, but we lost 7 great players from the previous team. That's difficult for any team to handle. The coaches have done a tremendous job in that respect this year. The performance has improved and the players have shown individual improvement. That's what is supposed to happen as the season progresses. Improvement.

Why has that not been the case for the offense this year? The starting QB at Bama is a first time starter and it showed early in the season. But he has progressed and gotten better. Our offense has gotten worse as the year has progressed. Running game has slowed and what little passing attack we had is all but gone. The players can only be held accountable for a small portion of that. The remaining blame is on the coaches. Poor game plan and lack of player development. Talent will not beat a better prepared and executed game plan and well developed players.

So yes I enjoy it when we win. But if we must lose, I'd rather lose competitively than to lose by 17 points to team with no SEC wins in last 2 seasons. That doesn't just hurt, it's stupid.

There was a guy in our section at the Bama game who literally bitched nonstop from kickoff to final whistle, even when something good happened. There's somebody like that around us nearly every game.

You could have just told me to sit down and shut up ya know!

Depends on my state of mind. I was partying and sharing time with friends from Arky this past weekend. Yes, I wanted the win but wasn't going to let it ruin my good time.

Prob would've taken a bit more out of me if we would've had something on the line, but at the end of the day I'm just a fan. I don't get pissed off and butthurt over something I have zero control over.

I can enjoy watching the game even if ends in a loss provided we played well.

What is hard to watch is what happened in AR. It is puzzling as it doesn't even look like the same team that played with intensity and earned a win against OM.

Anyone can have a bad night night and/or come up against a superior opponent. But I think our worst performances show that what we are doing isn't working and something needs to change.

CLM looked and acted stunned in the post game interview after AR. I hope that leads to some type of change in our approach to trying to win games.

There are a lot of teams who records are worse than ours who seem to have a pulse on offense. The shite we trot out there on Saturdays is bumming the fans out.

This....there are two parts to a game. One is deciding the winner/loser (and we have done a pretty darn good job at this)...the other is the viewing enjoyment of the game itself...watching the competition between players and the chess match between coaches. I enjoy watching college football but if LSU wasn't my alma mater I would NOT enjoy watching them play!

Neither Rant (SEC or Tiger) is a sports message board. This is a message board entirely for talking shite and trolling.

Look for a real sports talk thread on SEC rant. Go on.

I do enjoy a good game, even if we don't win. Last Saturday was painful to watch.
