Sorry, I missed the fact that Texas was not an elite program any longer. I guess all this conference realignment happened for nothing

So you're counting a shitty gameplay as a frickup? I guess you're one of those people that throws out the window that Miles just ushered in LSU GREATEST SEC SEASON EVER. We curb stomped the entire sec an beat Bama at home. 1/9 was a horrible game plan. Not a mistake

REALLY???? Ok tell ME hows its done. There is NO WAY LSU is where they are at IF Miles had come in the year 2000. NONE. ZERO. Some coaches can build and some coaches are good at maintaning.Saban can BUILD AND Maintain. Miles [for as good as he is] Can't do this IMO.
I give Saban all the credit in the world for bringing LSU out of that dismal spot we were in during the 90's. I don't know for sure that Miles could or couldn't have done it. I just want you to tell me why Saban couldn't sustain the National Championship success the year after LSU won it all in '03.

Yep - Glenn Guilbeau. What a tool.

Uh, yeah, the entire team not showing up for THE NATIONAL frickING CHAMPIONSHIP GAME classifies as a frickup in my opinion. I know that seems totally crazy

If you were the BEST EMPLOYEE your job has ever had and you had brought in the biggest accounts your firm has EVER had AD THEN lost a big account, I'm positive your company wouldn't be saying you suck.

I already did. LOOK I have followed Saban since he was at Mich St. Brought them to a great level of sucsess, And BAILED to come to LSU. Thats how it works. BUT He has ALWAYS wanted a chance to be an NFL Head Coach. It was his dream. It failed. The whole 2004 season was HIM living on the fact that he led an LSU team to a NC after just 4 years. Miami gave him an offer and he took it. Was I mad??? HELL YES. But thats the way it goes. I think Miles has a different mindset. I DO NOT think he wants NFL dollars. I think he is comfortable in BR and will stay for at least another 10 years. I am COOL with that.

FLA has been AWESOME since Steve got there. Its wasn't as broken as LSU was before he got there.
YOU need to do some homework.

This was surely a worrisome dip, and might've given credence to the "winning with Saban's players" argument. But just as surely Miles deserves all the credit for righting the ship since then. Not just any coach could've done that, IMO.

I hope you're joking. They won two conference titles in 12 years in that two team league. Once again. It's far easier to start a winning program than maintain one. It's common sense. Which is harder 2-3 good recruiting classes or 6-7 good recurring classes. I'm done arguing this. It's common knowledge.

my aunt thinks she "helped mac pack" and want to be the first to say "i told you so" whenever les trips up.
of course, that sounds like most ranturds and negatigahs and negamiles posters on this rant.

No it's you that needs to realize Florida is shell of it's former self right now. Hence proving my statement that maintaining a winning program is harder.

What LEAGUE are you talking about?????????? Was TEXAS OR Oklahoma EVER in as bad of shape than LSU was in the late 90's????????????? AGAIN. DO SOME HOMEWORK. Its common knowledge.

I act like he walks in water? No I state facts. Period. Whether you want to acknowledge it r not Les Miles has done things at LSU that no other coach ever has. Period. He is , BY FAR, the winningest coach in LSU history and has the 4TH HIGHEST WINNING % IN THE HISTORY OF THE SEC. Les Miles has made mistakes and I don't know if he is a top 5 coach , but he is THE MOST SUCCESSFUL HEAD COACH IN LSU HISTORY. again that last statement is a fact.

So you're saying it's easier to maintain a winning program over 6-7 year period than start a winning program for 1-3 years? You're really saying that?
