48 hours ago I would’ve said yes. The fact that it has dragged on this long and we tip off at noon today tells me he ain’t playing. Such bullshite. I feel for the kid

But hasn’t he been practicing with the rest of the team since the Vandy game? That suggests to me the PR geniuses in the athletic administration have been planning all along to withhold the announcement that Smart will play until just before the game so that the fans will be so happy they will let go of their anger over the inept handling of this entire thing. At least that what they think.

I'd like to say yes but when you have an administration that says they have "dozens" of people working into th he night to get him eligible, I have my doubts.

I personally think Javonte and team already know the answer but admins have told them to keep it under wraps. My guess is yes but admins want to play their hero card to try and gain some favor back with the fans.

LSU will say that the NCAA did not clear him before gametime when in fact they cannot clear him because they never said he was ineligible. LSU will use this to make it look like they are doing all they can and pass the buck to the NCAA when in reality the NCAA has nothing to do with any of this yet and it is all self inflicted.
