In 2005, with the #3 team in the land, LSU led 14-0 early in the 1st quarter, then trailed 17-14 in the late 3rd qtr, winning 21-17 off a 4th quarter 75 yard drive by JR, Addai, and LSU's D holding UF down..

In 2007, with the best team in the land, LSU had to rally from double digits, including an obscene 5-for-5 4th downs, to rally for a last minute win..

Fla won the revenge tilts by double digits at home off both losses..

Now, many LSU fans are hoping for an holding-to-form in the home team winning, but it just like LSU's chances of holding form with Fla winning the BCS, then LSU, then Fla, now LSU's turn again..are minuscule..

As Fla is about to win a 3rd National Title in 4 years, joining Army, Notre Dame, Bama, Nebraska, USC, Miami, etc in small two, three, to four year windows of near absolute dominance..namely the 1994-1997 era Huskers with three #1 seasons.

It's just too much to ask for, as UF is very hard for LSU to beat even when the Tigers with the better talented and savvied team. Now here is UF which is the decidedly best squad in the country, and this LSU team looks promising yet a very flawed #8 to #15 type team to date..

As of today, I have it..

Fla 37
LSU 20

This score is with me expecting Tigerstadium to be all-time obscene, and LSU to play a very good game..

Shouldn't have left that 2006 national title on the table for the taking, as LSU was everybit as good and at times better than Fla that year..Aubie/Playcalls/Ref game and Gainesville/Gifts game cost LSU a 2nd look at UF in Atl..

If with a second look on a neutral field in Atlanta in '06, it could possibly be that UF is trying to match LSU with 2 crowns in four years(and LSU would've been with a 3rd in 5,) instead it's the Gators seeking a 3rd in 4, and dare say stealing the decade's dominator title from USC, especially with the hardware argument.

We do have a chance against Florida, however, just like posters have stated before; Florida is awfully dangerous. The one bright factor is that Percy Harvin has moved on to the NFL so we don't have to worry about his too much. However, they still have a really good running game in Rainey and Demps. Their tight end looks good as well. There defense is as good as advertised. So, we do have a chance, however, we need to be able to exploit their weaknesses. I believe before it is said and done, we will be able to possibly keep it close if we use our players to their utmost ability. We have a deep running back core, wide-receivers are coming along and of course we still have one of the best tight ends in the SEC if we can get the matchup we need.

We've seen neither of these teams play against a worthy opponent. We won't know for sure until that game, much like last year. We could have never guessed that we would get blown out by UGA and UF last year.

It will be the same this year. I, for one, expect Florida to lose a game this year at some point. I think that they will overlook someone and get into a duel that they don't expect and not be able to pull it out. Much like the Ole Miss game last year.

If we are undefeated going into that game at home, we will win

once this team gets some confidence, we will play much better
