Because he is our best option to do something like that.

So take it from the shotgun. I've never seen a team run the wildcat from under center.

That's the genius of the Miles/Studrawa/Kragthorpe offense...

Yeah let's pay Bolden, especially since he had so much success against BAMA the last 2 years

Actually, he averaged 6.3/carry on 4 carries last year against Bama. That's good.

He had 144 passing and an Int. Hell, that was our total passing yards for two games against them between JJ an JL. And he was just a sophomore playing at Penn St., so he didn't do that bad.

But no, I don't think I'd put him in because he hasn't been on the field all year and Bama ain't the time to start. Actually, I'm a little curious as to why he's on the team, but they must have thought he offered something that could help the team.

Please enlighten me as to why most all other SEC teams (except Bama who hasn't needed to) utilize their mobile QB in the red zone.

It can help you or be your downfall. Look at Auburn. They went from having a very mobile Cam Newton and tried to recruit someone who could probably do the same thing in Khile Frazier and he's awful. Even Clint Mosely is bad.

Florida-(not saying it's their downfall) but Driskel had his legs taken away from him today.

Connor Shaw. His last 3 games he's struggled with scrambling.

Arkansas? Yeah, ok.

Bama, McCarron can scramble but not real far and not for very long. He does have a very good OL giving him time though.

Tenn? Bray doesn't run.

The one guy that jumps to mind as far as a really running QB threat is JM at A&M and he got 26 yards rushing on us.

It provides a good wrinkle but to solely make that your offense will hurt you in the end.

Look at the end of our last season.

Tenn uses the linebacker every time they get inside the 5.

I never noticed. He usually sits back there and slings it.

But look at TN. Not really working real well, is it?

That's all i'm saying, that wrinkle in the red zone could really help us. I'm not saying go with a mobile QB full time.

We don't really have one. While Randall is fast, he has a good arm too and he is also a freshman. Bolden is not a mobile QB

I know.

Sorry if my post made it sound like you were insinuating pulling Mett.

That wasn't what I meant to do.

I haven't watched a ton of their games, but when he is in, they seem to be pretty successful. I think tenns problem is getting inside the 5.

TN got a lot more problems than that. They need to win some games. But another topic for another thread.

Got that right, my friend.

I'll be at the Bama game. If you're there, I'd bring you a beer!

I'll be there screaming my arse off no matter who is in the game. I think we can pull it off, we just need to come out and play like our backs are against the wall with nothing to lose.

Watched all 3 (running QB options) high school highlights, still think Shep or Randall give the best in the red zone option.
