I'll agree, it gives more options.

It's not a necessity though.

B. You want a third string guy that's never played a down of college football in his life to come in for a down against Bama "where field position is everything."

You're not asking him to lead the team down the field, just come on for a play every once in a while. You assume a player who has never seen the field cannot succeed.

Why do I get the feeling you became an LSU fan last year when Jordan Jefferson got reinstated.

I agree it may be a better option to use shep, however les seems pretty set on not using him in that role. I don't care who we put back there, but if we run the ball into the back of our line 3 times inside the 5 I'm going to pull my hair out.

I don't assume anything. I'm not the coach. I don't see the guys behind closed doors when the practices are closed.

Only the coaches do.

So, I'll let the coaches do what they see fit as far as who goes under center.

We have a stable of running backs all with unique running styles.

Have some faith and stop worrying if we should replace the QB. Geez.

You assume incorrectly. In fact I went to high school with Jordan and graduated with him. When people were talking about him being a running qb I was telling them he never ran a designed running play in high school.

I don't think we need to replace Mett, but I think we need to mix it up every now and then.

Not saying it's a necessity, just stating the obvious. A Randall/Bolden/
Shep red zone package couldn't hurt.

There is a reason none of these guys really ever see the field, so, naturally, we should play them against Bama.

MOAR SPEED!!!!!!!

I agree with that. He's been way underused.

Would you put Randall in for a particular package?

Why do you think it would be a good idea to put someone who has zero experience against the best defense in the nation?

Bolden played against Bama in 2011

11/29 144 0/1 TD/INT
4 rush 25 yds long 15

I'll also be the first to say he did not make good decisions on or off the field.

Isn't that why Ware has been taking snaps now for 2 games?

I'm not saying a word about JJ. Nope. All my comments about him are in my head.

Yea but why is he taking snaps under center? I don't understand that.

So what's the reason? Please enlighten me as to why most all other SEC teams (except Bama who hasn't needed to) utilize their mobile QB in the red zone.

probably a good idea, and I really don't want this to turn into a JJ thread, but broski took it there.

Because he is our best option to do something like that.
