In the age when every single game is on hi definition television, why do people still think that our playing a game in a certain city will help recruiting? Please name one recruit who signed because the Tigers played a single game in their home town.

LSU vs. Notre Dame would be a game of national interest, and recruits would take notice.

Absolutely the best answer I have seen so far to this. The "we need to go to Texas for recruiting purposes" crowd needs to go back and troll all day on the Recruiting board.

We sign 20-35% of our class from Texas ... We should play there every chance we get and beat them while they're down

Attendance will be significantly less in Nashville. We have a built in fan base in Houston with our large alumni chapter there. LSU will end up in the red with ticket sales for the 3rd straight year.

This decision for placement just doesn't make sense. I do prefer Notre dame as an opponent but holy crap did we get screwed on location, time and travel

Our season was equivalent to a 2 o'clock Tuesday bowl game vs a team that hasn't beaten anyone.

We could maybe hype it as the Tillery Bowl? Lol

Why not? High school students are out for the holidays.

It'll probably be 55 degrees and sunny at kickoff.

Don't hold your breath. I've never been so miserable in My life having to endure 3 hrs in that stadium in December.

I'd rather go to Nashville than Houston. It's Nashville not Minnesota.
