Looks like Malone was the starting LT in the scrimmage this weekend... Is anyone else concerned about the position?

Personally, I'd like to see Pocic at LT this year.

He's holding down the fort until Teahuma is 100% from his ankle. Not worried.

To me Pocic staying at center is a good thing. We are replacing out two tackles from last year. The fact that they don't feel the need to move Pocic over there tells me that they have quality guys that they believe can play the position. Les has always built his lines from tackles to center to guards.

Toby Weathersby replacing Vadal is going to be an upgrade in pass pro.

Pocic is staying at center. Not sure why that's so difficult for so many people to accept.

Pocic had surgery in the offseason. He's obviously back, but perhaps they don't think he offers the mobility of teahuma or Malone at this point.

I do hate that Teahuma is missing time though. One of the key ingredients to a solid OL is cohesiveness, which is hard to develop with guys out

It's getting a little late to move people around. Very likely the 5 that were out there this weekend will start vs. Wisky.

Maybe. Its been noted he may be the only one they trust to make line calls and if thats why he is not at LT thats troubling. Plus at his size he got neutralized at the point of attack in the big games from smaller, more compact NTs.

But from a friend that went to the scrimmage he said Malone looks pretty good. We wont have long to wait Wisconsin will throw their best rusher at Malone so we will see.

Pretty sure Wisconsin's best rusher might not even make our 2 deep.

I'm beginning to think this as well. If a change I think it would be MT to LG and Clapp back to RG.

Not trying to start a debate, but what makes you say that?

I agree, but he will be a solid player and a good test, I feel that way about the game, good test for us across the board.

I think if Les was concerns about tackle you would see Pocic get a shot there. The fact he hasn't leads me to believe that he is not to worried about the position.

Why doesn't anyone have faith in Malone?

I feel based on what I've seen of him he's more suited to play guard. However, obviously I haven't seen practices this fall. I hope he's awesome
