Do we have a 2 QB system in order to keep Nuss?

If Nuss leaves, it’s a catastrophe since Walker has already entered the portal and your only backup if JD gets injured would be a true freshman.
I think BK is forced into promising Nuss a lot more reps to keep him from leaving.

Sure I can. With Walker Howard gone, there are only 3 QBs left for 2023. If Nuss leaves before the season, there will only be 2: Jayden and True freshman Rickie Collins.

There will be plenty of reps in the spring for both of them. By the time we get to the season, it will be too late for Nuss to transfer.

Not sure he is forced to do it. I think it makes sense to do it whenever you have a last year QB. It is good to get some reps for the likely successor.
Yes, it may help keep Nuss but it makes sense to do it. It prepares you for next year or injury. Also there may be a need to change up the offense if a JD lead offense sputters.
And I don’t see a big downside to it. JD may not like it, but he isn’t going to do anything about it. There is no portal threat with him.

Why wouldn’t he stay? 5 is gone after this year no matter what and there’s nothing in front of him to QB a championship caliber program for two years.

Because he could play immediately at a program like Georgia. Don’t get it twisted. Nuss is being pursued by elite programs who don’t have returning QBs.
