right, and where does the HC get the play from? Because he says "let's go for it" doesn't mean he designs the play during the time out... lol. I'm not putting down LM but his big 10 offense mentality is not cutting it.

They should have scored 31 points and chose to take a knee instead of running it up. Also this game was like our Florida game. They physically dominated us on both lines of scrimmage just like we did to Florida. The score was close cause they kept shooting themselves in the foot and killing drives with penalties and stupid mistakes. The LSU/Florida game should not have been close and Auburn really manhandled us. A good QB makes a difference but we don't have one so why ask?

2010 LSU with Davey or Mauck or Flynn or Perrilloux or Craig or Russell would beat any team (all LSU teams included) over the last 20 years.

We beat Auburn with NFL refs. Third and six at the LSU 42 yard line. Jefferson is sacked by Fairley and then body slammed. The play would have been a $50,000 fine in the NFL.

No penalty called. I was dumbfounded at that point. There was only 6:42 on the clock when the ball was snapped. Should have been first down LSU at the Auburn 43.

Lets not forget that Auburn was kind in the final seconds and took a knee inside our 10 yard line. The way they moved the ball, would have been no issue to be a 31-17 game...

Maybe

Our offense is not shitty just due to the QB. We are pretty weak on the OL, Wrs and Rbs do not play to their potential.

Why not just say the better team won? Nobody is going to stop Cam this year. LSU's punters/defense will be the closest we will see the rest of the year.

No, special teams kept the game close! The defense didnt have a prayer in the world of stopping newton. It was very poor planning by Chavis and his lack of adjustments cost us the game

You have to believe that with a good QB, we win that game and are sitting undefeated in the top spot

Interesting analysis. YOU have discovered something new and earth shattering. After all this time, and all these posts, YOU have found an answer. YOU have uncovered something that nobody thought of before. It's amazing. It's revolutionary. It will shatter every thing anybody ever thought about LSU football.
Thank YOU.

Yep I mean being 1-8 is really depressing.

....I don't understand the logic when people say this. They got the ball back on short field at the end of the game after our offense couldn't generate a first down on 4th.

Honestly if reuben handle catches that pass on the first drive its a completely different game. Yeah Jefferson could've thrown it better. Honestly if we would-be just stuck with one what the whole time I think we would have fared better.

They were certainly a better team. But, one play makes a difference in the POTENTIAL outcome of the game. Instead of punting with 6:30 left in the game it could have been LSU possession in Auburn territory.

Yes we do. Not only that, we beat tehm if we have 0 drops at receiver.

Keeps d off the field and we def would have had at least 6 more points.

The D never rested when the huge drops happened.
