That's the season I'm expecting, for me it just really depends on how competitive we are in losses coupled with how we finish this recruiting cycle in the trenches. If we get blown out and shut out again this season and don't land elite guys on OL and DL this cycle I'll personally be ready for O to leave. 10 wins is not enough without prospects of a championship team in the near future.

If LSU goes 10-2 but gets its shite kicked in by Alabama (again), yes, he should be on the hot seat.
LSU is not competitive with the best program in the conference right now. Their offense hasn’t been competitive in that game since at least 2014. Last year’s game was embarrassing. And Alabama is the measuring stick, like it or not. We’re supposed to be a big-time program, not Silver Lining U.

It’s gone from “he’s elite and better than any coach outside of Clemson and Bama” to “11 wins guaranteed” to “you can’t blame him for 10-2”. Soon it will be 9-3 in the SEC West is better than anyone else could do and by mid season it’ll be we need to give him at least 3 more years to rebuild. Different season same excuses.

Maybe some immature young bucks think that way. I have to believe most know that a 10 & 2 simply cannot put a coach on a hot seat. Granted, if the years keep going by and all we keep getting are 9 & 3, maybe a 10 & 2 but no playoff berth; folks will be rumbling and grumbling.

It’s amazing how far standards have dropped according to the Cheerios. You were one of the biggest Les Miles fans we had on this board but I never saw you say 3 or 4 losses was acceptable or even successful under Miles. Not only do they attack any and every fact regarding Orgerons tenure they’ve even stooped so far as to attack anyone simply wanting him to uphold the standards this program has operated under for the past 20 years. It’s truly sad

No, but anything less that than, Miles was doing every year...3-4 losses. And we have lost at least 3 or 4 in all of O's season's so far in the regular season.
If you take the tact that O took over some serious program issues that he had to fix and overcome, then you allow a couple of years for that, and we've now had 3.
I think it's now fair to expect better than what Miles was doing and I think it fair to expect it to start this year.
