I know a few Texas fans who now believe that investing in WM as 'coach in waiting' may be a mistake. Most of it is driven by their horrible defense this year. The offense is bad but Mushchamp's defenses have been giving up early scores and haven't had much of an impact.

Do people on the rant still want WM if Miles was to leave? I still question his caliber as an HC given he has no experience doing the job.

I don't know why his name has EVER been thrown around as a possible replacement.

Always thought he was overrated. If Miles were to leave LSU, I'd like Pelini first and foremost, then Patterson or Petersen.

As for pro coaches as a possible Miles replacement, I'd make Bill Cowher say "no" first, then go down from there.

Really? Interesting considering Texas gave him the keys to their program.

All the complaints are on the OC, Muschamp gets a free pass this year.

I never wanted Miles gone, but if he left, I would still want Muschamp, yes.

His defense is getting torched this year.

Tx defense rivals LSU offense for lack of performance with major talent.

This is a good analogy.

I never wanted him as HC. Teams like LSU and Texas shouldnt have to experiment. They should just get a proven HC. I'd still take him at DC if Chavis left I guess. I dunno.

If Miles left I'd prefer Leach or Patterson.

Those Texas fans you speak of are crazy. Their defense is not the problem this season.......their offense isn't either. They are young - and have a bad senior group. They have no leadership. Mack fell victim to Les' demons - playing upperclassmen. He now has a group of seniors playing without leadership abilities - perfect storm thing.

They will rebound next season. Check-out their incoming class. Muschamp is still the shite.

Still, I dont get why Texas trusted Muschamp when they couldve gotten a proven guy. Just like I dont understand what Florida State did.

I pissed on the Muschamp and Kelly talk all last year. Both have yet to prove they can be a HC at a premier program.

Mack Brown has lost the team and WM cannot do anything about that. He is a good coach because he has learned systems from good coaches.

Maybe he is not opening the Def. Playbook to make Mack B retire early

See Garrett at Dallas...His shitty offense picked it up with fricking Jon Kitna, now that he is head coach. He did not open the playbook and that got Phillips Fired.
