Do people really put stock in non conference cupcake games?

Players have a hard time getting up, coaches play base for the most part with no creativity except maybe experimenting.

Why are people shocked when we get a sloppy win? That’s the point of these games and has been for decades.

Haters gonna hate. Melters gonna melt. Anyone that knows football and watched the game, saw lots of 2nd and 3rd stringers in the game. Staying vanilla allows "new" players to develop timing, which improves depth into future. It ain't pretty, but it is necessary-- if you are coaching smart.

I love all these excuses. Why is that other teams don’t do this vanilla thing? That must explain why good teams have so much trouble figuring out offense out and why we always have so much experience and no one ever says our players are young

Excuse for winning? Sorry, I don't have one. Excuse for building depth that will pay off later? Again, none needed.

Good teams

Like teams ranked in the top 5 in the country?

It's great that we're in the Top 5 discussion, it really is. And it's great that we have 2 signature wins vs teams picked to beat us.

But it'd be nice to have a dominating, 45-3 type win over someone. You know, where the team really flexes their collective muscles and shows that they truly are one of the top programs in the country, instead of being one of the best teams in the second group.
