Do other schools not care as much about baseball?

The more i pay attention to what other schools are saying, the more it seems like they couldnt give two shits about baseball.
For example, on the sec rant some guy asked if we would rather have a cws ring or a football sec championship. The obvious pick is a cws ring, at least to me. Most likely they hate baseball because their team sucks. But still, i guess i shouldnt expect other schools to be as passionate as Lsu fans.

Everybody has a little fair weather fanning in them, even if loyal to one school. You are going to be more into the programs that are successful. That is a fact.

I just called my dad for Father's Day (who lives in North Carolina), and told him that LSU had won its first game in the CWS. He had no idea that it was even going on, probably because he was watching the US Open instead. College baseball is usually not on the radar there, since they only pay attention if a local team is making a postseason run.

I work for a Bama grad boss and the only reason he knows about the College Workd Series is because I take off those days. Honestly, because of me he started following us in baseball. He can't see anything behind the Saban statue they erected.

An SEC football championship is much more important than a CWS title. It means you're going to the playoffs. The money and prestige alone are about 10 times more than winning a CWS championship.
Most people outside of LSU couldn't probably even name last year's winner. Everyone will remember who won the SEC in football.

If we had ice hockey we would care about it. Im talking about other Sec schools with baseball teams who couldnt give two shits if their team won 56 games or 6 games all year

What I have noticed is that it's getting a bit more popular and the fans are starting to do a lot more cheering during the games!
