"why would X coach move laterally to LSU"
bottom line is LSU is the 2nd best job in the country, if football is still about winning which I think it is then there is only one more winning team than us in the 21st century, "why would X coach move laterally to LSU" is such a laughable take to me, if a shrimp boat captain could have one of the greatest seasons of all time at LSU i'm sure lincon riley could muster something up as well. Sick of hearing people talk about this like its a mid tier job, this is THE job and if Woody doesn't get his guy than the blame is solely on him.

I think everyone knows this. Best facilities. Best resources. Can attract top recruits in the best conference in the sport. We pay you big money to win & bigger money to leave. What’s not to love?

Because coaches realize that to even make the playoffs, LSU has to go through Bama. However, that still applies to Jimbo and Kiffin, and they would both move for LSU recruits
But every other coach has a better shot of getting to the playoffs before they even meet Saban. So yeah, why would Lincoln, Franklin, Dabo, Patterson, Day, Kelly, Ferentz, Tucker, move?
You come to LSU to win championships. A quality coach is already trending in that direction

I bet you ole saban is keeping an eye on it. I’m sure won’t lose sleep over it, but he has had it made in the shade with miles an O the past decade plus. He knows it LSU hits it out of the park he won’t have it so easy.

Most of the ones I've been hearing have been saying one of the best jobs if not the best based on the well known advantages we all talk about here.

LSU has the 2nd most national championships in the last 20 years. That position is NOT a lateral move in the slightest. National media no idea what the actual college football world is like because they look at Bama, then the rest of the country.
You have an AD that's willing to go out and make sure you succeed with a budget that exceeds what well over 90% of other colleges are willing to spend. You have the talent within the state and already established pipelines for recruits. You're always in the talks of a NY6 bowl, and now maybe even CFP entry when the 12 team expansion happens. This is the job that the best of the best would want to go for if they're available for it.
