I am breaking from the norm because I don't like to say anything about the BCS until we are in but with that said...LOL....We conquered the Gumps already, why should we have to play them again. We need to play someone else.

I would bet my life on Bama, but that isn't the point.
So like I said, there is no way of knowing for sure. Hell, we can’t even know that we are better than Georgia, OSU or anyone else. They very well may beat us, but there’s no way of knowing until we play them. Which is exactly why someone else deserves a shot.
Again, I completely agree that you all are the 2nd best, but you can’t know for sure until you can prove it on the field. Since we beat you already, at your house, we proved that we are better. Now someone else gets to try to claim the #1 spot. If we kick the hell out of them then everyone will crown you #2, right where you belong. But until the game is played, you have no business claiming you are definitely #2, let alone #1.

I love that most you concede we are probably/definitely the 2nd best team in the country. But you still don't want to play us. And this whole issue of "deserving" it is laughable. You care about fairness? Why is no one debating the fairness of any other bowl game? How come no one's worried about the fairness of the fact LSU could lose to UGA and still go to the BCSNC?
The fact is, you don't want to play Bama again, because they provide to best shot of beating you when it matters most. And we can all see that.

Drew, your post is dumb. The nonbiased viewers of the LSU-Bama game did not come away convinced LSU was number 1. There are no ties in football. Someone has to win. LSU won. And virtually every unbiased viewer was still unconvinced LSU was the absolute better team. They won, yes. PROVE they were better? No. That's why everyone WANTS a rematch. And that's why you don't.

Clearly you haven't watched much Bama. We dominated Arkansas early and often, they were never in the game. You put them away late in the 2nd half and ran up the score. You had a much more difficult time against Miss State than we did. LSU is really really unbelievably scary good. But so is Bama. It's ludicrous that you don't see this. Everyone else in the country does.
