I have a couple of hardcore Bama friends. When I talk to them it's like the LSU vs Bama game hasn't happened yet. I ran across this gem on FB earlier:

The swamp folks had to see what they'll be facing soon I guess lol.

I was like "bitch we saw it when we beat you. Remember Nov 5th??"

From talking to these idiots you'd swear that they were the 12-0 team... I hope they get jumped in the polls.

Why don't you want to play us again? Don't say you already won, why don't you want to play us AGAIN?

Because I don't think you deserve a 2nd chance. You had your opportunity on your home field and failed.

I honestly don't think it matters who LSU plays at this point. They will win. Not even a second chance Bama team is going to stop this steamroller.

But I still don't think you deserve it.

For the same reason we don't want to play Western Kentucky again.

It seems that most of the Bama fans that I have encountered that are near my age (32) are fairly sensible. They can remember the '92 season but spent their college and subsequent years getting outplayed by LSU and Auburn while they floundered (by their standards).

I get much more frustrated trying to discuss football with their older fan base because they grew up being the kings of football and will always view themselves as that. Similar to the older ND fans I guess.

I haven't encountered many of the 18-22 year olds to see if the pendulum has swung back the other way, but I suspect it has based on their recent run of dominance.

This also isn't an indictment of Alabama fans. This is something I think you see with every fan base including our own. I was at LSU for the end of the Dinardo era and could never imagine that less than 15 years later, we would have 2 NCs, 3 SECs and on the verge of possibly adding one more to each of those totals.

My boss is one of those delusional fans, He is a #1 Texas fan, but totally anti-LSU. He is still spouting the same ole tired rhetoric... next time, next time, next time....

The Bama fans dont realize how much more of a sore loser it makes them to keep pushing for this rematch... LSU will embarrass Bama in the NC game....

Why would anyone be friends with a Bama fan?

My step-sister is a delusional Texas Longhorns fan (which might be worse than a Bama fan). She would love nothing more than to see LSU lose. The other day she told me that LSU would be like the Saints... they would win their 1 title this year and that would be it.

I said "bitch you do realize that this will be our 3rd national title in the past 9 years right so your statement makes absolutely zero fricking sense."

In case you haven't noticed I like to start off addressing these folks as bitch.

Like all fan bases, there's a wide variety.

The most silent bunch are the Bama fans who are quietly questioning do they really WANT to play LSU again.

It was hell to lose to them once this year, but TWICE?

It was an accident... I swear! I met all three in the military and didn't realize they were Bama tards until we were already drinking buddies. Once you're invested in a drinking buddy it's difficult to let them go... although I'm getting close.

But why do you care? I've seen nothing from LSU fans on whether Michigan deserves a BCS bid, or whether Vandy deserves a bowl bid. Hell, I've seen very little on who deserves the Heisman.

It's funny that all this anti-Bama BS is under the very thin guise of "fairness." You don't care about who "deserves" it, you don't care about fairness.

You just don't want to have to play Bama again because you could lose. And that's painfully obvious to every non-LSU fan.

I have a bama fan that cannot give me a reason why a rematch should occur. He only responds to me with "you scared"...I finally had enough of it.

I do not mind having a debate but when I point out that Oklahoma State may win their conference and voters have proven that a conference title means something ala Georgia not moving up in 2007, he only responds with we are the best and you are scared.

Bama is a great football team. Awesome defense with a great offensive guy in TR but the special teams sucked it up.

LSU is greater and is 12-0 - give us a champion of another conference to face for all the marbles.

My gf is from alabama, and while I have converted her, the rest of her family are hardcore bama fans. She moved here for college and lives with her sister, and all year long I hear about how bama is gods gift to college football. the worst one is her sisters 13 year old daughter. Even in losses, she still talks garbage. It makes our victories that much sweeter, although getting this family to accept the fact that every bama loss can't be contributed to "bama gave the game away" is an entirely different challenge

Like I said before... I don't think there is a team out there that can beat LSU right now. It doesn't matter who we play.

I live by some, practically family to me. However, the other day after thanksgiving with a few drinks in him his main argument was "That first game don't mean SH1T"

Don't really see the point in playing Bama in the regular season anymore.
