I've watched the last three games.

Our dline is bull rushing with with there heads down and no one is putting there heads up to find the ball. It's more about technique. We have to dline coaches this should not be a issue.

The defense did enough to win this all game. The Dline wasn’t the issue. Their performance resulted in them leaving all of their energy out there on the field. They’re doing the best they can.

d line was facing 3 5 stars and 2 4's. they held up their end. we are missing that really stud player on the line, though, that we used to always have.

Our DL hasn't been bad, but I do agree they have a vision problem. Guys are running right by them without even an arm tackle attempt a lot of times. Sometimes the arm tackle doesn't make the tackle but keeps the RB from bursting by the LB, etc.

Their roles in a 3-4 is just to occupy space and let lbs make the tackles..

This is why Sopsher is a priority for Saban. It's a 'twofer'.
He not only gets a star DL but deprives his rival of one, as well.

I think it's an issue of not having any serious edge rushing threats. Our OLB are mehh. The first two games combined for one less sack than our last 7 games combined. (9 to 10)Chaisson was a big big loss unfortunately.

I know sacks aren't the only measure of a DL, but it's a big one.
And it's concerning seeing as how our HC is a DL guru.

With the loss of Chaisson perhaps Aranda and co. are more concerned with containing the QB and the run and just pushing the line. Rather than going all out for disruption/tackles for loss.
