The kid wants to start and he won’t with the talent we have coming back. He would have likely been our 4th DT at best. Sucks to lose the depth though.

I can't remember the breakdown on run plays or pass plays he was in on, but "run downs" is not exactly a modern day term. Teams pass a lot now on 1st down so is that a "run down"? I WILL say that where I remember him most was sacks he made, QB pressures he made that weren't sacks, and I believe the batted some balls down at the LOS also. He and the Wisconsin transfer DT were excellent additions to the team. With Swinson playing even better as a SR and S Jones improving, the DL was pretty darn good IMO...not the disaster that some people were predicting.

It is a loss. The kid looked ready for a good year next season.
