5 + shand and Jones would be 7, but I would think they need at least another. That’s if they move those 2 (I think they are a little big and slow for 4 down DE, but seem like good candidates to play down)

I would love to see them grab a high end DT starter type or 2. Seems like some talent should be out there and LSU is in prime position make a move.

Shand is a DE, West and Langston are in the Portal, Hill already transferred to Oregon State and Hickey I believe is a practice team walk on. In other words, we have Jalen Lee and Tank Guillory at defensive tackle with Johnson and McKinley at tackle coming in as true freshman and Shone Washington from Community College.

Between Bama, Washington, Michigan, and a 4th team’s roster that has Harbaugh’s replacement should be able to get some help
