Per Jordy

Don't look for 2013 TCU game in Baton Rouge.

I'm guessing it would be a one time game with TCU and no home and home.

So we lose a home game and TCU gets one. Nice.

When the 5th place team in the SECW is also the 15th ranked team in the nation, does LSU really need to play the likes of a TCU in Texas???

Now THIS is what's going to kill Alleva with the fans.

I don't remember what the schedule was before the OR game was agreed to, but was that date already slotted to be a home game with another team and we moved it to accommodate the OR game, or was it open?

To take a home/home with TCU away from Tiger Stadium is a travesty, if you ask me.

I'm all for these big games in Dallas and Atlanta, but if Joe starts pushing out big HOME games, then there will be consequences for him.

Apparently the season ticket holders didn't complain enough about being stuck in the upper decks at Jerry World.

$ from a home game are significantly higher. Since we already have the home game in the bag, it makes no sense unless they were sweetening the pot with a second neutral site game instead of a followup road game.

It's possible, but I don't see it as likely...

Basically a home game for them. That's a no go.

I'm all for a neutral sight game with a big opponent if it adds an opponent to the schedule that we otherwise wouldn't have played. But moving an already scheduled home game with a big opponent to a neutral sight is senseless and rips off season ticket holders. Alleva is a moron if he is actually considering this.

I don't see it that way...

There will still be an even distribution of tickets, and we will certainly buy-up our share, and probably then some. The distance isn't all that far, so I don't see that being an issue either.

The issue is that they would be royally screwing Tiger Stadium season ticket holders, while throwing the Dallas Cowboys season ticket holders yet another LSU bone.

I'm NOT a season ticket holder with LSU, but I can imagine that I would be pissed if the prices kept going up, while at the same time pulling games like TCU out of TS.

trying to create a recruiting stronghold in DFW is a terrible idea

TCU Oregon St only drew 45000 last year
It will still be a 50/50 split

I don't like it either, I was looking forward to TCU in Tiger Stadium

I'm not paying TAF fees to see the likes of NW State and Western Ky

Seems like LSU and Bama are in an arms race in CFB.

The two of us have set the tone. It's wonderful to stay in the spotlight, and carry the SEC banner..... But man TCU at home was gonna be awesome.

I follow recruiting closely, but someone please answer this....

How long should it take to see recruiting results in Dallas? I know we got Hairston..... But he's a kicker. And we gave him a scholly.

Anyone who has grown up in Fort Worth will tell you that even if the game is played in Arlington, LSU will still bring more fans than the horney toads

We should be having games at Reliant Stadium in Houston if we are concerned about establishing recruiting areas. Yeah, we already recruit Houston regularly but we still don't get some of the best talent from that area like an Andrew Luck. Dallas area is UT/OU area.

Many are saying the same about us and Oregon this year... hypocrite. I think it'd be great for us to play TCU, even better for them. Let's make it happen! I personally love this "neutral" site OOC season openeres!

Yes, but the slight issue of there not being a game like this in Houston may cause some problems.

What about TCU in Dallas with return trip to New Orleans - that might be enticing and TCU could come into Louisiana - both could be neutral site with 50/50 split and LSU could handle rest if TCU returned New Orleans tickets

We already have too few home games, much less QUALITY home games, especially of the OOC variety.

Texas is a critical state for LSU's future... not just in athletics. If we're going to play a neutral site game, that's the place to do it.

BUT... LSU is OUR team, Death Valley is OUR stadium, and big OOC games need to be played there, too.

It shouldn't be too much to ask, as LSU fans.
