In all seriousness, how do you guys deal with having a child molester leading the team? There will be a ton of flippant comments about it. But, seriously, that would ruin watching baseball for me.
In fact, it kind of ruins this regional for me. I won't be extra happy if we beat him. It just adds a blanket of sadness surrounding the regional.
What do you guys do? Have you just learned to pretend it didn't happen?

That’s a bit of a loaded question.....I don’t pretend that it didn’t happen, that’s for sure. I also root for the other 30 kids on the team. I totally get where opposing fans are coming from. I try not to get too involved in that discussion because it never ends well. Child sexual abuse is a terrible act and absolutely deserves punishment.I was suprised he came back, but I also don’t know the whole story( that is not be standing up for him). There are many fans out there that feel the need to defend him. I don’t feel that need, that said it has not caused me to stop rooting for the other 30 players. I don’t know him or the situation, only info I have is what you all can read on the Internet. I hope this is what you were looking for. I never like to take the cowardly “no comment” approach. If I know the tiger fans well, I will get roasted for even replying.

Some fan bases are just strange. Penn State for sure. Texas A&M of sure. They just see things differently. Maybe Oregon State is similar.
Personally, I'd rather lose in a different regional than win in Oregon State. The situation just ruins the experience.
