I've been concerned this may happen for a few weeks now. I hope not.
What concerns me is LSU scoring in the 1st inning and then "losing focus" at bat. I've always liked making the opposing pitcher throw lots of pitches to wear them down. All too often, LSU batters aren't that patient.
Overall, I don't believe we've put too much stock in the SEC tournament and are waiting to host in the NCAA tournament.

We just can't hit good pitching. Let's hope there's none of that in Omaha.

I see no way Stanek goes before Appel or Gray, but that doesn't change the fact that people are being shockingly absurd.

I think his weaknesses are magnified at the next level.....he just seems like a highly picked pitcher that spends 4-6 years in AA trying to figure out how to pitch in the big leagues.
The Stros need a draft pick at 1 that is going to contribute in 3 years-ish.....if they are as committed to their current plan as they say they are. Now if they are just trying to make/save money then they might as well draft Stanek. IMO.

You tards must never have played. Good pitching shuts down good hitters all day. Stanek is one of the better pitchers in the country. LSU didn't bring their A game today. Doesn't mean crap right now.

For the most part this is true.....however I think the truly great hitters can hit just about any pitcher. Now LSU may not have any great hitters.....but we don't have many patient hitters either.
