Ace thanks for the voice of reason on this board , I suspect the Op just wanted to make every body happy , that wont happen on this board !

Received more compliments about LSU here in DC/NOVA area from co-workers,etc. in the past week than I have in the past 4 years combined. That win Sunday night felt like the “golden years.”

Of coarse it helps. But we need to hold our own for the season as a whole. Lot of football left!!!

Anything positive is a help for recruiting....and this was a heck of a high-profile positive showing.
However, I think the fact that it was the first game of the season that is almost certain to have a few losses before we are done will make this a pretty distant memory by next February.

There were plenty of recruits on the offensive side of the ball that were waiting to see if our offense was truly going to be more open. They were being told we were going to open things up...but as we all know that has been an unfulfilled promise for a few years now. Seeing is believing!

+1. Changed the entire perception of the team for 2018. Defense is nasty and the offense has championship potential. Just need to stay as healthy as possible for rest of the season. 1 game at a time! Geaux Tigers!
