Yes. They said that during the game. Not sure if true though.

Herby definitely said it about Burrow. Not sure if he had his stats mixed up between Burrow and Jefferson, or if he was referring to Burrow’s sophomore year of HS (which would be a little disingenuous).

He did, I heard it too. He also said that Divinity was suspended cause he was busted for failing his fourth test for Marijuana, which is nothing but a rumor. That idiot also condemned the LSU fan base for issuing death threats to the Etienne family. Which although widely reported throughout the USA, is obviously a bogus charge cause no one was brought to justice. As no one today since 9/11 can make death threats via the Internet or via the phone and not be caught and brought to justice.

Indeed, Chris Fowler should be forced to apologize to Michael Divinity and to the LSU fan base, or resign! Indeed, if I did the twitter machine that's exactly what I would tweet.

He was a 3 star on Rivals, and that’s the one that matters

Fowler said Divinity was suspended for "what was reported in the Advocate" as failing his fourth marijuana test. I am assuming that he is right about the Advocate reporting....I don't read the Advocate.

Fowler said only that the Etienne family was being "harrassed."

You and I may have heard different comments and phrasing at different times, but the in the comments I heard, he chose his words carefully (and accurately).

He said "death threats"....My jaw was on the floor when he said that. He, as a commentator really should not have said that on a national telecast for the title game. It wasn't the place for it, with no proof to back it up...maybe it's true, but it really hurts the LSU football program/recruiting by spewing that shite during the title game. It could have very easily been left out of the conversation and still address "negative" reactions from fans during recruitment.
