Nah. His lack of a passing game and offensive line getting man handled on the LOS in November cost him the Heisman.

Miles isn't out there getting blown off the line of scrimmage or air mailing passes

Miles also put Fournette in position to win the Heisman if we're going by this metric.

[quote]Tens of thousands of players go through college football programs and don't win the heisman. Maybe they should blame their coaches too. [/quote)

But with the talent of Fournette?

Don't post facts. They hate facts.

I love this narrative though. Fournette breaks the school record and leads the country in yards per game but miles "cost him the heisman"

Horrible fricking fanbase.

Leonard has had the best rushing season in LSU history problem is the same year henry breaks Herschel's record and the Stanford guy breaks Barry's record

Didn't help the suckage we had toward the end of the year. No one lost it for Fournette the Heisman is won at the end of the year and the team and Leonard didn't perform

If your premise is true-- then Miles would have to get credit for the time Fournette was the favorite to win the Heismann, wouldn't he?

By piss poor QB recruitment and development.... Hell yes. By play calling ... Not so much.

Who cares. All subjective awards like this are stupid. Had LF come out as gay he would have won. These awards are about as important as beauty pageants.

Ok... someone is going to say... Miles wasn't blocking or running... My point is, his REFUSAL to throw the ball or spread the field some let opposing defenses stack the box and focus on Fournette and it cost the kid the Heisman.

You people even watch the games, especially the last four?

We attempted more passes. The passing game did not work. We went with the run.

Some people will do/say anything.

and downvoting us as much as possible for offering rebuttals and or facts is going to persuade us we're wrong.

Yes, but I differ in your analysis. Miles did not refuse to throw the ball. He and his staff did not develop the basic passing game throws like screens, slants, and flats to aid the offense early in the season so he could use it when the box was stacked. Hell Bama did not even have to stack the box because they knew LSU could not run a possession type passing game. This turned out to be the fatal blunder of the year. If LF was going to win the Heisman and LSU had the same three losses many of the fans who wanted to fire him would have given him a pass...

Can you post the pass/run ratio for the last 4 games, accounting for sacks and busted pass plays where possible? I'm sure we refused to throw the ball, but I'm forgetting the exact numbers.

This is the crazy thing. We THREW it 105 times in the 3 losses. No telling how many pass plays were actually called. Didn't we have 5 sacks in the Alabama game? I think the ratio was like 27 runs to 25 passes. I made a thread on it somewhere.

Yes. He is also responsible for the potholes in New Orleans, The stagnant economy and the increase in terrorist attacks. Les has lost control of the world.

No and this is the 400th thread about this very subject.
Our oline falling apart during the bama game and not being able to play McNeese, cost him the Heisman.

The only reason Henry had more rushing yards was because of carries.

LF -6.4 ypc
Henry-5.9 ypc

LF also leads the country in rushing yards per game.

I swear it's like lsu fans don't even watch the games. We tried throwing and Harris was inconsistent as hell.
