If LSU recruited Joseph but he went to Nebraska, how can he explain to Louisiana recruits that they need to stay home?

LSU was a pro style offense and Mickey was an Option quarterback. He wanted to continue to play Option/wishbone offense so he really had only two choices for that and that was Oklahoma and Nebraska.

I can't answer this...

Maybe he hated his time away from family, friends, and his home state. Maybe he truly regretted his decision and call on his own experiences at "making mistakes" to help educate others from doing the same?

It really is an interesting phenomenon.

In 25 years, lets imagine Florida is rolling and we are losing top instate recruits to the Gators, so we hire Cam Robinson to keep Louisiana recruits home

LSU was not running his type of offense and would have wanted him to play rb or corner back.

Ok, Dylan Moses? He can claim that he went to Bama for the system they run and way they would use him

Correct. Going to LSU to play QB was not even an option back then. We in no way, shape or form run an offense that even resembled Nebraska in 1988.

Again, not the same situation especially now since our defenses run a lot of similar systems.

An option offense and a pro style offense are TOTALLY different man.

Yet, Narcisse and Brennan both stayed home.....

Face it, Joseph would have been fricking blasted on here just like everyone else that leaves.

It would be like Georgia Tech recruiting a pocket passer. Easy example, Myles Brennan. Doesnt fit the system

I understand. I also understand how fricking nuts this board goes when a huge recruit leaves for the powerhouse school at the time.

They would have melted on Joseph

I have found the analogy you are looking for.

2015 recruit Kirk Merrit, LSU wanted him at cornerback or Safety but he wanted to play wide receiver.

quote:

Yet, Narcisse and Brennan both stayed home

Brennan is a mobile Pro-style quarterback from Mississippi ,so no he didn't stay home, and he is capable of running both offenses.

I understand your point you just weren't putting it in the right context.

Yeah probably so, but Merritt left and people were upset for maybe a week. Life goes on.

You know this board would have come unglued when one of the states top recruits put on the Husker hat

We literally have top 10 LA kids leave every single year, when your state is this talented it happens. We only had 3 of the top 10 kids from Louisiana commit to LSU this past cycle and the board has moved on and is looking towards 2018 already. You may be a little overdramatic here.

Yeh, and when it does, we get freaking pissed and call them traitors, wish injury upon them, and the black plague on their family

Umm, no. We are becoming known for being a little oversensitive when in state guys leave
