TIA

Tyrann Mathieu's group of teammates used the saying and coined it ... then Alabama decided to take it and make tshirts about it with internet memes.

Bama fans will tell you that they created the word "Savages" and have it copyrighted

There are some Savages in Bunkie, they even have a big S on their chimney. Pretty sure they may have something to do with it.

No. It's first known use was in the 13th century. It is derived from the late Latin term, "salvaticus", which was later altered in Anglo-French.

I doubt it

there are a lot of references to "going savage" in the documentary Zootopia

Like when Mr. Manchas the limo driver "goes savage"

savage is a pretty common slang term, and in no way was coined by our baseball team

It's been around for a while. All Tiger fans did was overuse way too much to the point where it's meaningless

Webbie gets it from this album from 1992. People in the hood used to listen to this in BR back then and the term savage was used ever since.

Webbie made the term popular, made it Baton Rouge slang. The LA Guys brought the lingo to Bama.
