But he could have given Kelly such a good recommendation that UW would want to hire him. Plus there are several P5 jobs that come open every year and JJ may have promised Kelly that he would help him get one after 1-2 years on the LSU staff. Remember, assistant coach pickings were a little slim once JJ got the job here. SO he very possibly didn't get his 1-2-or 3rd choices of assistant coaches last year.

The job that Kelly did with this staff was the best job by an lsu pitching coach that I can ever replace. I doubt they ran him off. He was great

College baseball has come a long way if we are now pulling coaches from the majors and can pay them better!
