We're not talking about the coaching staff here. We are talking about Etling who played like an inexperienced freshmen. Of course the coaching staff was equally as inept, but this about Etling. This particular play was called in enough time for him to get the damn play off, but his head was in his arse the whole game, and that is inexcusable. That's why coach O ripped him when he came to the sideline because he forced him to have to burn another TO. As a QB and I am not a QB, but a former ball player nevertheless, you have to be aware of the clock and get your team ready to go before that clock expires even if the play is a lil late sometimes. He was not aware and totally out of it the whole game. Couldn't even make simple throws to receivers 10 yards down the field. There is no excuse people can come up with to try and defend this.

It was in that long drive where nothing went right then Etling missed his target by like 12 feet. Possible that Etling was running his mouth about play calling or not getting the plays in on time? Yeah, but how is that O's fault, Ensminger is calling the plays?

Agree. I think Coach O was sending a message that while players like LF7 and others got away with talking to the head coach like that, O was not going to tolerate that, HE is in charge!

You know, in all the years of watching Miles on the sideline eating grass and being stoic, I really enjoyed it when Coach O' got in Etling's face and chewed him out. Our QBs have needed a good arse chewing for a long time; needed to shake things up. I've not seen passion at QB in a long time. Maybe this will make Etling stand tall again for the rest of the season. The O'line and Fournette need a good arse chewing, too.
