I thought we'd have another 4 years of relevance.

From what O did to USC and Ole Miss, I never liked the hire in the first place. However, after 2019 I was willing to eat crow and thought well maybe with all he chips in place with the right coordinators O could fake it until he makes it again.

Then Aranda and Brady left, and O was left to drown on his own. The immediate collapse after 2019 was astounding. I never thought O could damage and run a program into the ground as quickly as he did.

Unfathomable.

I was blinded by my fandom and thought we'd go on a run. Not a Bama type run but I thought we'd go on an OSU or OU type run where we were in it almost every year.

I forgot that Ed's entire life is a series of ups and downs and every triumph is followed by failure.

This was me. I was expecting him being let go after 4 years. Dave Aranda saved his arse in the 2016 interim time, the 2017 season, and 2018. The pairing of Burrow, Brady, and Ensminger brought him goodwill from everybody. After that was over and Aranda was gone we saw the man himself laid bare for all.

If people don't understand that the last 2 years is Ed O when he doesn't have a baby sitter and wunderkind, there is no helping you.

Not right away, but I sure as Hell didn't expect this complete implosion. Orgeron is now like the man who's lost his house to foreclosure; he's going to damage the building as much as possible before it's sold at auction.
